This week's CSA share of the harvest consists of:
- Salad Mix - a blend of baby lettuces. Try to pick out the different kinds and do a taste test!
- Spinach - leaves are large but very tender, therefore we suggest using them fresh (un-cooked). If you would like to cook it, try a recipe that involves wilting it rather than cooking it for a long period.
- Spring Garlic - use the white part as you would a clove of garlic and the green part as a garlic chive.
- Mint/Lemon Balm - makes a nice tea with honey (let cool to make iced tea). Use in a tabbouleh recipe, a marinade ingredient for fish or for added flavour to lemonade or other cold drinks.
